I have a degree and PhD in Biology from the University of Granada. My doctoral thesis focused on molecular and evolutionary genetics, but my passion and interest in biomedicine and molecular biology led me to join as a postdoctoral researcher at the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER) in Seville, a center of international prestige. I am currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry of the University of Malaga where I combine my teaching and research activity within the group “Molecular Bases of Biological Systems” (SIBIUMA).
